Lover of math. Bad at drawing.

%d bloggers like this:

I always love looking and at your maths drawings, right on the mark every time. This one is particularly good, keep it up!

Amen! 🙂

A horrifying combination of algebrage and explagony happened to me on my master’s thesis. I thought I had this beautiful little proof for one scenario in my thesis, so I set it aside and moved on. But as I was typing it up, I realized that I was 100% wrong. The reason I thought it worked? A small algebraic error. I believe it was even an insolent quadratic that did it to me!

This one is very good!

The National Puzzlers’ League refers to the Foggy Summit feeling as “igibidgi” (pronounced “iggy-bidgy” I think) which is an acronym that stands for “I Got It, But I Don’t Get It.”

Wow this is sooo accurate and on time too! I have a maths exam tomorrow!

Love this. And I’ve experienced them all!

Pencil abandonment.

You have been getting nowhere for days, and in a flash of brilliance you see the answer, but you don’t have the ability to write it down.

There’s only one solution to Explagony: double down!

Fermatosis: “I have found the most remarkable solution to all of these issues, but unfortunately the margins of my skull are too narrow to hold it.”

Brilliant!

I have one more.

Oblivious to the Obvious. It is obvious that….uh

Thanks, Doug. Oh, and I was right: it IS obvious.

“I’ve reached the top…

So why can’t I see anything?… :)”

brainfished, never had a proper term for it…I just called it gold fever 🙂

But if I put myself in the place of a fish, I think I like brainfished. Seems pretty accurate.

i can’t wait until you put emoticons to all these emotions !

Oh my word, way too accurate!!

This is the FUNNIEST thing I’ve read from you yet! I just cried: I was laughing so hard. Sending this to my geometry students. I think they’re far enough into the semester that they’ll get it.

This is so brilliant.
